Smashworks Dance Collective kicks off the new year with CITY STORIES, an evening length performance based on an exploration of human behavior in downtown Manhattan. Choreographer Ashley McQueen and dancers share the New York experience through a new lens, presenting three premiere works: “In transit” – an original dance film projection with live performance about the NYC subway; “Messy Humans” – a series of episodes highlighting chaotic lifestyles and bad habits; and “Wall Street” – an observation of the unspoken social constructs of capitalist America and the gritty reality of life in New York City.

Join Smashworks after the show for a post-performance reception, and to learn more about the collective, visit their website.
