Bryn Cohn + Artists
HOME is an emotional and intimate journey rooted the pursuit of physical, emotional and spiritual manifestations of connection. The work draws upon ritualistic and traditional processes to elucidate home through interpersonal encounters, movement innovation, scenic design environments and the seeking of self and collective understanding. By examining idealized social inner-workings and contrasting these constructions with palpable human realities, HOME sheds light upon the loss, challenge and tensions that occur within a family.

Diana Crum
During a self-designed creative residency at Ponderosa (Germany, July 2015), I investigated the color blue. I wanted to see how abstract, expressive forms hold meaning. In the studio, after thinking, reading or writing about blue, I would improvise. I identified different states or approaches to performing. By states, I mean embodiments of images or ideas that escape the verbal. I’m working on embodying and layering those states into a performance score/choreography that deepens the research.

James Gardella
“glitter fabulous” is entertaining, melancholic, and bold. It combines the flamboyant expression of drag performance with the private reverie of improvisational dance to showcase the transformation of gendered persona. It features dynamic choreography that appears serious and deep one moment, and superficial and vapid the next.
